There was an interesting article on digg recently, it is an essay by King Abdullah of Jordan in November 1947 for an American audience called "As The Arabs See The Jews." It's a great read if you know nothing about the why there is (and always has been) conflict in the middle east and terrorism. Or even if you do know some of the history, it is a great refresher. Personally I know most of the history just after World War I with regards to the Balfour Declaration, and some prior to that from reading Paris 1919. A big question I have after reading this article is why Palestine had no control over the immigrants coming in? Were they all arriving in boats on the shore and claiming refugee status? Or was the Palestine area still under British control at the time?
